Intertwined

Choi Co-curated by Jiwon Yoon, Jeahoon Kim Opening Reception: June 11th 5pm -8pm We want to hold a celebration to thank the entire Chicago community for its commitment and effort to arrange the financing and development of The Korean Cultural Center. This exhibition was named “Intertwined” to represent creation of harmony by diverse artists who have different cultural backgrounds and to celebrate the diversity of their culture. We want to encourage living together, understanding each other, interacting with other cultures, respecting others, helping each other, and making beauty of harmony by different art works. This show consists of Western style and Korean traditional paintings, ceramics, video, fiber, mixed media and installations produced by 35 artists who have diversity cultural background.

Textural Real Darrell Roberts will be exhibiting paintings influenced from his urban environment where he appropriates colors and texture from his surrounding in conjunction with works on paper displaying excessive marks, colors and layering influenced by being in nature.
